ST. MARTHA - SHINING EXAMPLE OF HOSPITALITY AND FELLOWSHIP FOR CATHOLIC-CHRISTIAN DISCIPLES...........

On this fifth Friday of July, the Christian Liturgical Calendar honors, St. Martha, sister of Mary, and Lazarus, close friend, and loyal disciple of Jesus, is an exemplary witness to Hospitality, and Fellowship, in the Living Faith of Catholic-Christian Discipleship.  Martha was fastidious in the details of serving and caring for her guests, including Jesus, who were visitors to the Family Home.  But she was also very generous with the hospitable care and fellowship she shared with Jesus, and in coming to faithfully witness to the redemptive mission of Christ, and the power, and purpose, of His Resurrection.  Her words professing belief in the New and Risen Life Jesus provides all Believers in John's Gospel, " Yes, Lord -I have come to believe that you are the Messiah, (the Christ) He who has come into the World", is a great personal testimony to the belief inherent in the Christian Community of Believers, that Jesus The Christ. God's Co-Eternal Son, is the Savior of the World, and the Redeemer of Humankind.  Be extra generous, to someone else today, in the spirit and truth of St. Martha of Bethany...........Fr.  Troy
