ST. VINCENT DEPAUL, PRIEST OF CHRIST - RELIGIOUS ORDER FOUNDER, PATRON OF CATHOLIC - CHRISTIAN CHARITIES...........

Vincent DePaul was a very spiritual and holy man who founded a religious order and placed emphasis on seminary formation.  Also a charitable man, one of the highly respected Catholic charity ministries is today know as the St. Vincent DePaul Society.  OLOL Parish has a St. Vincent DePaul Ministry, a conference of parish members, who assist those in need to the best of their ability.  Weekly requests are received, oftentimes in the dozens, for assistance with furniture and clothing.  OLOL SVDP Ministry under the very able leadership of Delores Rhodes Culpepper, does an outstanding job serving those needs, on the limited funds that are available.  Mattresses and Beds, along with some furniture and clothing,they are able to provide to needy parish families. in conjunction with the local SVDP store.  So on this day honoring their founder, we offered the daily Mass this morning for the members of SVDP, and the ministry of charity and service they provide...........Fr.  Troy
