THE 23RD SUNDAY OF ORDINARY TIME IS LABOR DAY SUNDAY...........

This first Sunday of September, brings us as Disciples of Jesus The Christ, not only to the final one third of Sundays that comprise the current Calendar Year  2011, and the seventeen Sundays it includes ending December 25th; - but the last dozen Sundays that remain in  Liturgical Year 2011, which extends through November 20th.  This in the 23rd Sunday in the Season of Ordinary Time, in what is Year A, in the liturgical cycle.  Here in the United States of America, it is a federal holiday weekend, in observance of  the dignity of  Human Labor, and of American Workers.  It signals the unofficial end of summer, and the start next week of the new Parish Year of Ministry, as members of the Church, and the Community of Believers, to which we belong.  Last week, as will the week ahead, are excelerating anew, as OLOL, and parishes throughout the country, gear up to effectively and productively set in motion, the necessary and essential ministries of Parish Life.  As we focus here on renewing, reinvigorating, and revitalizing, parish ministries at their core.  Striving to eliminating stagnation and the status quo, same ol', same ol', approach to subsisting, instead of truly growing, and flourishing, the participation of every member in this Community of Believers. That includes not only infusing new blood, and renewed energy, into existing OLOL ministries; but developing, and introducing, new parish ministries to take us forward and continue to be all that we can be, as committed, selfless, truly engaged, members of the Body of Christ, the People Of God, we are as, Church.  I will proceed in blogging today - to address for us as a Community of Believers, in Sacramento / Del Paso Heights / Rio Linda / Elverta / Robla; the activation, affirmation, and admonishment, of the Catholic-Christians residing in these boundaries of, and attending, and / or, OLOL Parish, to unconditionally answer the Call to Prayer, Worship, and Ministry, that authenticates our Faith.  Happy Labor Day Sunday...........See You In Church, Being Church !!!!!!!!!! ,   Fr.  Troy
