THE MEMORIAL OF OUR LADY OF SORROWS IS THE PATRONAL FEAST DAY OF OLOL'S CANOSSIAN SISTERS...........

The Canossian Daughters of Charity, the religious order of women that has ministered in Our Lady of Lourdes Parish in Sacramento since 1972, and in the Sacramento Diocese the past forty two years, are celebrating their patronal feast day today - the Memorial of Our Lady of Sorrows.  Sisters Felicity, Teresa, Lisa, Jenny, and Eliza, who reside here in our convent, and work not only in OLOL Parish, but at the Cathedral, and in St. Joseph's Parish, Lincoln, completed a nine day Novena to Our Lady of Sorrows, before the start of this morning's 8 a.m. Mass, and were feted with refreshments in the Parish Hall after Mass.  OLOL will also celebrate them at Hospitality Sunday this weekend following the 8:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. Masses.  The thoughts, prayers, and appreciation of our parishioners and the People of God they have prodigiously ministered to here in Sacramento / Del Paso Heights / Rio Linda / Elverta / Robla / and in Jackson, Lincoln, and the Cathedral, celebrate and congratulate them today...........Fr.  Troy
