On this Labor Day USA 2011, as we celebrate a Monday holiday, with picnics, barbeques, parties, or parades, at home, in the park, at the beach, and all but ring down the curtain on the Summer season, relaxation and enjoyment are the focuses of the day for most of our citizens.  But the reason for this particular holiday is to acknowledge and affirm the human labor of American workers.  The dignity of each and every human person, and provision they do, and seek to do, in the work of our nation, and for the provision of their families, are the focal points deeply steeped in the American experience of the observance of this day for more than one hundred and twenty years now.   With the success of the Industrial Revolution in the late 19th Century,  and the depths of mass manufacturing it brought to the United States.  The traditional headquarters location of the Labor Day celebration is in Detriot, Michigan, home of the American automotive industry, Ford, General Motors, Chrysler.  As we continue to combat the ravages of the economic recession that took hold worldide nearly four years ago, may the appreciation and value we place upon the jobs we hold, include our support for seeing to it that we do as a nation what we can do to address the far too high unemployment rate, with the promotion of a jobs effort that supersedes politics and the special interests, and puts the common good of all our citizens, first in providing jobs of human labor, that enhance and maintain the dignity of the human person...........In The Prophetic Justice Of Jesus The Christ And Gospel Values,   Fr.  Troy
