OLOL'S COMMISSIONING OF CATECHISTS FOR RELIGIOUS EDUCATION / FAITH FORMATION 2011-2012...........

The Dismissal of our Inquirers, and their first Breaking of the Word, with Sr, Lisa, went very well, as Sister told me they were able to keep on talking about the message of the Scriptures of the day.  I then led them on today's Inquiry topic of, 'Journey Being Lifelong'.  We discussed how our journey changes from the past, through the present, to the future, and can help us see facets of our journey of life and faith differently with the passage of time and  circumstances.  The poetic text of Psalm 139, assuring us of God's presence with us, rounded out the metaphor of making or being on the journey of faith in life.  We sent them home with a timeline to complete and reflection questions, to help them put their own jorneys into further focus, as we prepare to share our own personal stories in coming weeks.  Then at the 10:30 a.m. Mass, after the Homily , I commisioned our Parish Catechists for this current year.  After abrief dialogue interaction with them, after calling them forward to the front of the altar, I extended a Blessing over them, and presented them with their Commissioning Certificates...........Fr.  Troy
