FIRST FRIDAY OF FALL '11 FULL OF FAITH FORMATION PREPARATION AND CERTIFICATES SIGNING...........

Parish Secretary Frances Hood, returned from a week's vacation with her brothers and sisters in Oregon, and I had three sacramental certificate requests one for Marriage, and two for Baptisms, awaiting her; along with three new parish registrations to be processed.  In mid morning Sr. Lisa, had a meeting to discuss further her participation as a member of the R.C.I.A. Team Ministry.  She will be leading the Breaking of the Word session with our 5 Inquirers on Sunday morning following their Dismissal from the 8:30 a.m. Mass.  I will be presiding at the 8:30 a.m. Mass, and will then join them in the Green Room, at 9:40 a.m. for our weekly Inquiry session, as we explore the Journey of life and faith.  Sr. Felicity appeared in the early afternoon with the parish catechists Commissioning certificates, which they will be presented with at Sunday's 10:30 a.m. Mass.  I also spent some of the day organizing the first gathering of the Parish Scripture Study Series, based on the biblical meditation publication, "The Word Among Us", which starts next Thursday afternoon.    Today was rounded out by telephone calls from my home health nurse, Susan Boyle, and Dr. Martin's medical assistant, Gina, regarding placement of my antibiotic infusion port, which the doctor has ordered and will be scheduled for surgical implant soon.  I should hear confirmation of the date and time early next week.  Looking forward to a restful and pain lessening evening into night...........Fr.  Troy
