SUNDAY MORNING IN MERCY GENERAL REHAB CONTINUING CARE CENTER ON THIS NEXT TO LAST DAY OF FEBRUARY...........

Having already had a wound care specialist consultant visit, and having my morning shots and vitals taken by the day shift RN Bridget; I have watched CNN's State of the Union, and ABC News This Week, had my breakfast, done my daily ablutions,and dressed, taken my morning meds, saw Father Healy for a moment with word of Sunday Mass at 10 a.m. telecast on Channel 16, from the hospital chapel, and then met with my physical therapist for today, for session one of two p.t. sessions with her before 5 p.m. I did some physical stretching exercises in bed turned on my left side.  These exercises of stretching my amputated right side at the same created significant pain in my lower ower back, hip, and leg.  As it was nearly thirteen hours since my last pain reliever dose, the therapist, on duty nurse, and I worked out a plan, allowing me to take my two tablets of Norco for pain when doing therapies, every four hours beginning a half hour ago, so that I will be able to take it before p.t. sessions, without wiping out being in the comfort.  Today's physical therapist also did what one of the Bruceville therapists did for two days and provided me with an ice bag to lay on for twenty or more, which I currently doing, to alleviate the pronounced, post therapy, pain in my left lower back, core area, and upper leg. a Lab technician was just here to draw the daily Vanko antibiotic trough, as they closely monitor the Vanko level in my body.  Lunch is about 45 minutes away and then hopefully, a visitor or few, before the 83rd Academy Awards Show begins at 5-5:30 p.m., one of my annual television award show rituals since childhood. My one hour Vanko antibiotic treatment for today has begun.
