NIGHTWATCH OF THE RESURRECTION OF OUR REDEEMER : THE EASTER VIGIL SERVICE 2011...........

In just over an hour from now, I will preside over OLOL's Easter Vigil Service on this Holy Saturday night 2011 A.D.  The sun must set and darkness envelop, before our Nightwatch of Easter Fire, and the Blessing of the Paschal Candle; an extended Proclamation of the Word of God, forming a sweep of Salvation History, on this most central feast of our Catholic-Christian Faith; the Christian Initiation of the newest members of the Body of Christ, the Church, who celebrate the Sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation, and Eucharist, with us - as has been our Sacred Tradition from the inception of the Christian Community will occur. All of this in commemoration of the Paschal Mystery of Passion and Death, that was succeeded by the Resurrection of Jesus for the Redemption of Humankind.  And just as He foretold would occur, as God's Plan for our Salvation and Reconciliation with the Divine.
