THE FRAGRANT ANOINTING OF OUR REDEMPTION MANIFESTED IN THESE SACRED DAYS OF HOLY WEEK.....AND A CHRISTIAN PASSOVER SEDER...........

On this Monday of Holy Week, the first night of Jewish Passover, I have been surprised at 4:45 pm, with an invitation fron a few of the parish families, who are gathering in the Parish Hall, to celebrate a Seder Meal, in a Christian context.  Coincidentally, if my amputation and rehabilitation had not occurred, I would have scheduled a Seder tonight, as the conclusion of the Lenten Series, that wasn't.  The Seder Meal Jewish Tradition, I learned from the late Bishop Alfonse Gallegos, O.A.R., who came to Sacramento in 1979, having celebrated the Seder with his Watts, Los Angeles parishioners, for a number of years.  I have continued celebrating the Seder Meal in parishes as a priest for most of the past twenty four years.....  It is week five of, "Dancing With The Stars", Season 12, and tonight will be the first episode of this season, I will see.  It should be interesting coming into the competition, half way through the season.  As Mondays go, it has been a very busy twelve and a half hour work day.  Being Monday of Holy Week, it has been an extraordinarily full day.  So a couple hours of chillaxing entertainment, is welcome, allowing me to regroup.....  Tomorrow brings an OLOL Communal Anointing of the Sick, at a 10:30 am Mass, and Easter Confessions from 3-4 pm.  All, as this most significant and sacred commemorative week in the whole of Salvation History proceeds for the Year of the Lord, 2011...........A Global, Restful, Peaceful, Night To You Citizens Of The World And Diciples Of Jesus The Christ,   Fr.  Troy
