BLOGGING,"BRITANNIA"; ROYAL WEDDING 2011 - THE MARRIAGE OF WILLIAM OF WALES AND CATHERINE MIDDLETON.....#1...........

At this hour, it becomes Friday April 29, 2011, in Great Britian, and 2 billion or more persons around the World, are beginning to focus on London, England, and the Royal Wedding in eleven hours time of soon to be 29 year old, Prince William, of the House of Windsor; second in line to the British Throne, and his chosen bride, Catherine Middleton, a 29 year old commoner; whom he became friends with a decade ago at University, who subsequently became his girlfriend and fiancee', today becoming his wife, and in the future his queen.  I will be among the 7% of Americans, whom polls say will view the Wedding in Westminister Abbey, Live on television, cable, satellite, and internet, at 3 am Pacific Time.  30 years ago this July 29, 1981, I was awake and watching all through the night, as William's father, Prince Charles, and his mother, Lady Diana Spencer, were married in London's St. Paul's Cathedral.  I did that from St. Rose's Rectory in South Sacramento, a pre-seminarian..  Tonight, I will be viewing the Nuptial festivities from Our Lady of Lourdes Parish, in north Sacramento / Del Paso Heights / Rio Linda / Elverta / Robla / where I am now Pastor.  I plan to blog about the Royal Wedding - from now, until the 7 am, PDT hour tomorrow morning.  This is history, pageantry, and ritual, that we as Americans emanicipated ourselves from 235 uears ago; yet remain highly fascinated with.  I invite you to join me during the next 15 hours plus, for my blogging about the Wedding Day of Wills & Kate.....At least 2 more of my Sacramento friends will be watching the Royal Wedding Live overnight, and I hope to exchange messages through the celebrations with them.  Crank up the coffee or the tea;  gewt comfortable, and be ready to settle in for the latest grand chapter in the Windsors Royal History, to open more earnestly with the vows, the kiss, the dress, and the pomp and circumstance, cxoming hours will unfold..........Cheers To The Royal Couple,   Troy David Powers
