BLOGGING, "BRITANNIA"; THE ROYAL WEDDING 2011.....#2...........

Thirty Years ago at the Royal Wedding of Prince Charles and Lady Diana, David Cameron, the current occupant of 10 Downing Street, as Prime Minister, drove withhis 17 year old brother, from their hometown, to London, to witness the Royal Wedding processions along the streets.  They arrived the day before, with a hamper full of food and beverages, camping out overnight to keep their front row spectating position, to view the royal carriages passing by.  Tonight, at Buckingham Palace, Prince William, tomorrow's groom made a surprise visit to the Palace lawn, to greet wellwishers, reminiscent of the visit he, his brother, and father, made. out on the Palace grounds, in the days following Princess Diana's death in 1997.  The, "Modern Royals", as he and Catherine are being called, are showing an adept feeling for sharing their Wedding events with the public and the media, to the satisfaction of interested parties.  The festivities playing out over the next day will refresh and renew the uncanny connection the British Royal Family has with their fellow Britons and citizens of the world, particularly a sizable share of Americans.  Will you be among those 27% of Americans, who will watch the Wedding Live, or by DVR, / re-broadcast ?  Why ? or Why not ?  I welcome your comments and assure you I will respond right away.  What stands out in your memory in regards to Prince William and the Windsors ?  Are they worth the coverage, following, and support, they receive ?  Or is their Monarchy and all monarchies an anachronism, overdue in being abolished.  Today, I believe most in Britain and billions more worldwide, are affirming, appreciative, and awestruck, by the majesty and splendor Wills and Kate's Royal Wedding affords its followers...........Fr.  Troy
