CONFIRMATION AND FIRST COMMUNION STUDENTS CONFESSIONS THIS MORNING.....WITH THE START OF HOLY WEEK TONIGHT...........

Reverend Father Eduino Silveira, generously assisted Fr. Pius and I last night at OLOL's Communal Penance Service and Confessions, which thirteen persons attended.  This morning Pius and I, will hear the Confessions of the Religious Education students who will be celebrating the Sacraments of Confirmation and First Eucharist, on May 1 and May 8.  Two more hours oF Easter Confessions will be held from 3 - 5 pm, this afternoon, before the Passion "Palm" Sunday Vigil Mass, which I will preside at at 5 pm.  Our Springtime of the Church, we call Lent, has led us in the coming week to the commemoration of the most significant and sacred days ever in the Salvation History of the World.  For the eight days between Palm Sunday and Easter Sunday, Catholic-Christians will gather to enter anew into the depths of liturgies that allow us to share most fully in the Paschal Mystery of God's Co-Eternal Son, Jesus the Christ, Whose Passion, Death, and Resurrection, are the hallmark in the Redemption of Humankind.  I urge all of you who bear the name Catholic-Christian, to participate fully in the liturgical events of this Holy Week.  Not just being present for your share of palm branches, or to kiss the cross, and joining the overflow crowds on next Sunday; but attending and taking part in the Lord's Supper on Holy Thursday, the Easter Vigil on Holy Saturday, and making a worthy Confession in the Sacrament of Reconciliation. As you plan your schedule for Holy Week and the Easter Triduum 2011, be certain to include time to be present and particating in remembering and giving life to the most seminal events in your salvation...........In Peace + Prayers For A Faithful And Fervent Holy Week,   Fr.  Troy
