OUR CATHOLIC-CHRISTIAN PRAYERS AND CHARITY WITH THE TORNADO VICTIMS IN JOPLIN, MISSOURI...........

With unrepentant charlatan Family Radio owner, Pastor Harold Camping, now four the fourth time in the past few decades predicting a Rapture, that only God the Father knows the date and the time of; (Matthew 24:36) authentically anchored Catholic-Christians are more concerned with real ministry, to people in need, not self serving fundraising and notriety.  We have the recent occurrence of earthquakes, tornadoes, floods, and other disasters; and the impact they are having upon citizens of the United States and the World, to be presently charitably concerned with assisting; rather than the chicanery of false prophets.  Catholic-Christian Charity, for those in need, is the true definition of our Discipleship in the Risen Christ.  At the Dinner following Confirmation, at St. Rose's in South Sacramento tonight, one of our diocesan retired priests, Reverend Father Thomas Delahunty, asked Bishop Soto, what Catholic outlets we can refer people to, who want to help respond to these urgent emergencies.  Bishop Soto said for international crises, Catholic Relief Services, (CRS) and for domestic crises, Catholic Charities USA, and the Catholic Extension Society, are our two primary outlets for providing emergency assistance.  More information will be shared about this in coming days.  104 candidates were confirmed in the Kavanagh Hall, of St. Rose's / St. Patrick's on Franklin Blvd. tonight, bringing back my memories of the 600 plus students I  co-taught with Msgr. Kavanagh between 1976-1982, before I became a seminarian; and causing me to remember it was 40 years ago, this month I was confirmed there at St. Rose's Church.  Where have the years flown ?......What an awesome four star day it has been.  Especially given Dr. Cookson's prescription for my temporary prostheses !!!!!!!!!!!...........Praise The Lord Jesus, The Risen Christ,   Fr.  Troy
