CRUNCHING THE NUMBERS AS WE ZERO IN ON FINALIZING OUR PROJECTED PARISH BUDGET FOR FISCAL YEAR 2011-2012...........

Our third meeting in three weeks of the Parish Finance Council, to come up with a projected parish budget for the next Fiscal Year, was held tonight for 75 minutes of completing line items and coming up revenue increases to offset a substantial shortfall in the bottom line.  By consensus of consideration and discussion, we found areas to project increased revenues in during 2011-2012.  At a subsequent meeting in a month, after the Parish Festival, we will meet to try and finalize our next year Budget, and address any deficit or cash flow problem, needing to be addressed going into the summer, when offertory collections tend to go down, in many parishes.  I am thoroughly enjoying Father Steve Avella's e-mail updates from England, where he is on a tour of historic sites and sending great reports of his experiences.  Bravo, Fr.
