ARMCHAIR ANALYSIS OF THIS SIGNIFICANT WEEK IN CURRENT AMERICAN HISTORY...........

After awakening and breakfasting this morning, I tuned into to both MSNBC and CNN news coverage, which was concentrated on the taking out of Osama Bin Laden earlier in the week.  In what has been a rallying week of affirmation for Americans, that transcends partisanship, their still seems to be some cynicism about the story of Bin Laden's killing, regarding the way the Navy Seals operation was carried out.  Only those looking to find fault, or to discredit the President and the Obama Administration, would be critiquing the action in this way, as Osama Bin Laden, has been the mosted wanted world terrorist and aggressor against the United States and countries throughout the World, for nearly a decade.  The efforts of three American Presidents and our Government, have assiduously sought to contain the violence and terrorim Bin Laden has reeked upon thousands of innnocent victims, including the 3,000 martyrs of the Twin Towers at Ground Zero, in New York City.  The operation of finding and exacting justice on one the most evil persons, since Adolf Hitler, was an intense, time consuming effort, that required precision in intelligence, observation, planning, and preparation, in carrying out the mission.  Our elite and effective Navy Seals Team 6, brought their consumate expertise to completing this dangerous and vital mission.  We should not take glee in taking of any human life, but give thanks that just retribution for a series of heinious crimes upon citizens of the world has been accomplished.  A purely, partisan, political, response to this effort is not only uncalled for, but disadvantageous to the unity and harmony of the American People.  At a time like this, we are not Democrats, Republicans, Independents, Tea Partyers, or Coffee Partyers, we are, and must be, patriotic Americans, one and all.  There is greater need now to question and ascertain, the commitment and loyalty, of our supposed allies, namely Pakistan, and their trustworthiness, in working with us to combat Al Qaida and the Taliban, given the failure of their dependability in this episode, even after receiving billions of dollars in American support during the past decade.  And so much for their scorching criticism of American Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, all but calling her a liar, for a speech she made a year ago, questioning whether Osama Bin Laden, was living in Pakistan, perhaps with the knowledge of the Pakistani's.  At moments like this in the whole of American History, our citizenry has rallyed around The President of record, in showing support and solidarity for the well being of our country.  This is one of those moments in history, that will hopefully elicit the same response, as we are Proud to be Americans, and of our National Leaders, in safeguarding and protecting our nation..........."Let There Be Peace On Earth",   Fr.  Troy
