MORNING MASS, PARISH ADMINISTRATION, AN INURNMENT, AND PARISH BUDGET MEETING...........

As our Easter Season Week of Prayer for Church Vocations Awareness and Discernment, goes forward - this Monday morning as always, is a full and busy one.  Following the 8 am Mass, I will set in motion parish administration for the week, and then at 10 am will taxi to Union Cemetery, at the far end of Watt Avenue, and PFE Road, on the cusp of Roseville; for the inurnment of ashes of Tom McLoughlin, from Saturday's Funeral Memorial Mass.  After my Blessing Prayers at the graveside, a Bagpiper, will play two songs, and the Coast Guard, will present Colors, and give the Flag to Ora Mae.  His granddaughter will read the word's of the Father's Day card his wife chose for him this year, one of his son-inlaws with express thanks, and the committal will take place.  They will be buried with a red rose, the father's day card, and a small bottle of Chivas Regal scotch; Tom's favorite !!  Then the afternoon brings my final preparations reviewing the projected parish budget for Fiscal Year 2011-2012; which the Parish Finance Council and I, have been working on the past three weeks.  We hope to finalize our projections tonight.  It will make for a typical Monday as they are defined here at OLOL.  In the spirit of last week's Priests Retreat, I will do as much as I can to experience it in the spirit of prayer and priestly ministry, not as a admirable, nice guy, but as a prophetic, honest, loyal, servant-leader of the parishioners entrusted to my care...........Fr.  Troy
