EASTER EXCELERATES TOWARDS 50 - ON THIS 13TH DAY OF THE PASCHAL SEASON...........

On this First Friday of May, we celebrate the 13th Day of the Easter Season, and honor the Sacred Heart of Jesus, the vessel of God's Love for Humankind.  The Paschal Scriptures on this day remind us that despite our fallen human nature and the presence of sin and selfishness in the World, that God graces us with Forgiveness, and in the Co-Eternal Son assures us of Redemption, and the promise and hope of Everlasting Life.  As the Responsorial Psalm proclaims, "One thing I seek, to dwell in the House of the Lord".  And the Gospel Proclamation from John 6:1-15; the chapter of John's Gospel that concentrates on the Eucharist, chronicles the feeding of a multiple of people who were physicallyb and spiritually hungry, and for whom his miraculous feeding of the throng with mere loaves of bread and a few fish, underscores that The Christ, is the one true being who can feed our hungers.  May today be for you a time of encountering, experiencing, and extending, the Divine Love of the Risen Christ to, and with, others on your personal and communal journey of Life and Faith...........Fr.  Troy
