A DAY OF MOMENTOUS CURRENT WORLD HISTORY...........

The historic news, that nearly a decade after Al Qaida, perpetrated the most devastating terrorist attack on the United States ever, costing us 3,000 lives, that Osama Bin Laden has been killed by the American Navy Seals in Pakistan; is a momentous occurrence, that brings justice for this most heinious crime and brings the possibility for closure to the families and loved ones of those who vanished on September 11, 2001.  But the date May 1, was before yesterday a momentous day in the history of the World.  During the more than seven decades of Soviet Communism in the 20th Century, "May Day", the first day of the month, was commemorated not with Maypoles and Flowers, but with a show of Communist armanments on Parade.  And 66 years ago yesterday, May 1, 1945, was the date news broke that Adolf Hitler had committed suicide, as World War II, and his ultimate defeat as the Fuhrer of Germany neared.  Two maniacal, monsters, Bin Laden and Hitler, on the global stage, wreaking ruin, captivity, and death, upon other nations of the world.  As Americans we proclaim allegiance to the principles of, "Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness".  The terrorism of Al Qaida, Osama Bin Laden, and his cohort, are the exact opposite of the Freedom, the USA, and much of the World, advocates and embraces as a basic value of human rights.  The killing of Bin Laden, does not end the War on Terror, but advances the cause we are joined in with our Allies and other principled countries, to arrest and contain it.  The outcome of this occurrence raises another question.  That question is how trustworthy, sincere, and authentically the government of Pakistan has been, and is, in working with us, as their dissembling, if not lying, about their true intentions in regards to Bin Laden and Al Qaida; this after receiving billions of American dollars during the past decade, for their own security and to ward off threats of terrorism.  President Obama and our National Security Team must make an intense assessment of how far we trust Pakistan, and other countries such as Saudia Arabia, to avoid dealing with the duplicitous, whose intentions are to help us vanquish the war on tererorism.  Let us work even more assiduously to eradicate the evil that perverts the peace, justice, and harmony of Creration..........Prayers + Peace For The Easter Season And Always,   Fr.  Troy
