THROUGH THE UPS AND DOWNS WE EXPERIENCE GOD IS ALWAYS WITH US...........

Last night I blogged about my current frustrations, and limitations, while enduring, and addressing, my current health concerns.  I honestly stated my feelings, not out of despair, but as a realistic sharing of my present experience.  Today's Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults,(R.C.I.A.) session theme and topic, "Trust In The Promise On The Journey", corresponds to the thoughts I blogged last night.  We discussed today how as we journey through Life and Faith, there are moments and even, periods of time when are wandering, and feel lost and purposelessness, in our search for God's Truth and Love.  But despite the challenges and frustrations that we feel beset by, we have Divine assurance steeped in the Word of God, that dfespite our hardships, we have reason to hope.  At advanced ages the Book of Genesis shares with us the story of Abrahm and Sarai, who with trust in God's Plan for them became the Patriarch of the Chosen People, and parents of first, a surrogate son, Ishamael; and then a biological son, Isaac.  It is through the prism of Abraham and Sarah that we are to see and grasp our own journeys, by trusting that whatever difficulties we must endure, God's promise and faithfulness remain with us.  Being open; recognizing our experiences on the journey; getting to know and sharing our lives and faith with others; sharing who we are, and what we are thinking and feeling as we undergo the Catholic-Christian experience; praying each day; reading the Bible regularly; and accepting the risk of taking and embracing the leap of Faith; are integral to being People Of God who Trust In The Promise On Our Journeys...........Fr.  Troy
