CONGRAULATIONS AND KUDOS TO FATHER ARNOLD ORTIZ AND PARISHIONERS OF ST. JOSEPH MARELLO PARISH...........

This morning in Granite Bay, Most Reverend Bishop of Sacramento Jaime Soto, will join with Reverend Father Arnold Ortiz, OSJ; Founding Pastor, and the parishioners of St. Joseph Marello Parish, in the solemn dedication of their new Church edifice on Auburn-Folsom Road.  Founded as a parish community on January 1, 2004, today marks the first milestone in the parish community's development of their parish plant.  Fr. Arnold, the Founding Pastor of St. Joseph Marello Parish, is a member of the religious order, the Oblates of St. Joseph, whose founder was Joseph Marello.  Like myself and Fr. Mark Avila, OMV, Fr. Arnold grew up in St. Rose's Parish, in South Sacramento.  He was ordained a priest in 1973.  It is a happy day for him and his Granite Bay parishioners, with whom Msgr. Edward Kavanagh and I, were able to concelebrate Sunday Mass with in June 2009, at their temporary gathering site, Cavitt-Stallman Middle School on Foldom-Auburn Road.  Prayers, Best Wishes, And Commendations To Father Arnold And The People Of God In St. Joseph Marello Parish Granite Bay,   Fr.  Troy David Powers
