OLOL's ADVENT / CHRISTMAS COMMUNAL ANOINTING OF THE SICK CELEBRATION..........

Thirty four persons, including Father Traynor and myself, celebrated the Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick, at our Parish Communal Advent Anoiunting Service at 10:30 am today.  The elderly, ill, infirm, chronically diseased and disabled, were ministered to, as an outward sign of pastora;l care and sharing the sacrament with them in the con text of the Community of Believers, by celebrating it during Advent, (and also in Lent) in the parish church.  IN the homily I shared with those present some of my own story from birth to the past eight and a half years of living with disability, and disease, yet maintaining hope by receiving and embracing the Anointing of the Sick.  Today's communal ssacramental celebration is one more way this Advent, the parishioners of OLOL, who need the Sacrament of the Sick have been graced and enlightened by the Advent Hope the Coming Messiah, Jesus the Christ brings..........Heal Us Of Our Infirmities And Ilnesses O Lord.   Fr.
