THE 4TH DAY OF CHRISTMAS - FEAST OF THE HOLY INNOCENTS..........

This Tuesday December 28, is the 4th Day of the Christmas Season, and the liturgical Feast of the Holy Innocents.  The Holy Innocents are the two thousand boys age 2 and under, King Herod had massacred in his attempt to eradicate the infant Christ Child.  Herod's jealousy and insecurity that the, "newborn King of the Jews", was a threat to his own kingship, led him to declare the slaughtering of the Holy Innocents.  We believe they shed their blood in martyrdom, for the Messiah, Jesus The Christ.  Our celebration of Christmas, and commemoration of the Feast of the Holy Innocents, is kept alive in the Year of the Lord 2010 / 2011, by the Catholic practice on this day in the Sacramento Diocese and in other dioceses around the country, of a Pro-Life Procession in Faithful Witness to current day "holy innocents", the unborn, who are terminated between conception and birth, by the massacre of abortion.  We do this in accordance with the teachings of Catholic-Christian morality, that proclaims we are to be Pro-Life, from the moment of conception to natural death.  No person, doctor, counselor, government official, political candidate, jury, or judge, especially who are Catholic-Christian Disciples, has the moral authority, or have the right to compromise, or disvalue, the dignity and sanctity of human life, by advocating for an infringement on human life.  That means not only no to abortion, but also no tro capital punishment, and all violations against life inbetween them.  As we seek in Christmas Joy, Peace, and Light, to follow the path of Justice and Righteousness, in fulfillment of God's Commandments and Gospel Values, have a Happy 4th Day of Christmas.....In The Name of Our Lord And Savior Jesus, The Light Of The World,   Fr.  Troy
