CHRISTMAS IS COME !!!!!!!!!!!..........THE INFANT JESUS IS BORN INTO A JOYFUL WORLD...........

Away in a lowly manger, Son of God though He is, Jesus the Christ was born into the World over
two thousand years ago, being the long awaited Messiah of God's People and the Redeemer of Humankind.  Tonight on Christmas Eve 2010, we remember and commemorate the Holy Night on which Jesus was born, as the one true Light that breaks the darkness of sin and death, and becomes The Light of the World and Everlasting Life.  OLOL's First Mass of the Christmas begins in less than an hour, and is our parish's Children's Christmas Liturgy.  Dressed as Mary, Joseph, the Angels, and Shepherds, they will act the Gospel of Luke's telling of the Christmas Story, as I proclaim.  The church will be full, if not overflowing,  as it is around the globe on Christmas and Easter, and I have a well rounded homily message prepared for our faithful parishioners and what LTP's Liturgy Almanac now refers tom  as, "Chreasters", Christmas and Easter Catholic-Christians.  My point in preaching my Christmas message is to underscore the preciousness of the Gift of Savation Jesus accomplished for ALL of us, and the  everyday opportunity we possess by virtue of our Baptism and Discipleship, to be present and practicing every Sunday and Holyday, in addition to seeing the poinsiettas of Christmas and the lilies of Easter.  Our Redemption in Christ is not a light switch we turn on and off as we choose, but a constant Light of Living Faith.  Wherever you are reading my blog tonight, may your corner of this big blue marble, be filled with serenity and peace, as you affirm your belief in our Lord and Savior, Jesus the Christ, this CHRISTMAS..........  A Very Happy Christmas To You, EveryOne,   Fr.  Troy
