DIOCESAN FINANCES IN THE MORNING.....PARISH ADVENT SERIES IN THE EVENING..........

This morning the priests of the Sacramento Diocese gathered at St. James Parish in Davis for the annual Diocesan Finances Review Meeting, which brings us together early each December.  As it always is, Bishop Sto, Tom McNamara, Chief Financial OIfficer, and his staff, made it an informational and insightful gathering.  A team of Davis parishioners prepared a delicious Mexican food lunch for us following the meeting, rounding out a very good morning.  Then this evening the second session of the OLOL Parish Advent Series occurred, as the twenty two persons and I present continued to explore the pertinent Scripture passages of anticipation and expectancy that comprise the Advent story of waiting and watching for the Coming of the Messiah.  Tomorrow brings the Christmas mailing stuffing, stamping, and labeling, for sending to our registered parishioners this week.  And the Parish Advent Mission opens tomorrow night at 7 pm, with Father Steven Avella, the preacher..........Onward December Advent Days,   Fr.  Troy
