CHRISTMAS EVE 5 PM MASS LIGHTS THE WAY TO MIDNIGHT MASS..........

With the Christmas Eve Vigil Mass celebrated and the children of OLOL's having presented as beautiful a Christmas Pageant as any in the Universal Church tonight, and the congregation moved to contemplate their ongoing invitation to worship our Savior and the grace of our Redemption, each Sunday of the Year; to be more than, "Chreasters", at Christmas and Easter; but faithful and fervent Disciples of the Messiah whose Holy Birth into our lives as God Made Man, is the beginning of our Salvation, CHRISTMAS 2010 / 2011, has begun - let our celebrations unfold.  In these hours between the Vigil Mass and our Midnight Mass, like most Catholic-Christians I am having my Christmas Eve Dinner, listening to Christmas Carols, watching favorite Christmas movies, like the 1946 Classic, "A Wonderful Life", with Jimmy Stewart; sipping some Egg Nog, Fruit Juice, and Ginger Ale, and munching on Mixed Nuts, as I ponder the mystery and the marvel of this Holy and Joyous night.  Later some of the broadcast prayer and worship services and one last go at prepping my Christmas homily for this solemn night.  My thoughts and prayers are with family, friends, fellow believers, and all the faithful followers of the Christ Child born this night, Living and Dead, and ask the Lord God of the Universe to be with you, as we celebrate the Light of Eternal Light, Who Is Jesus The Christ; as we keep the festival of His Holy Birth into the World.  May you and yours walk in the Light of the Redeeming Christ Jesus tonight and forever..........Remembering He Comes Upon the Midnight Clear,   Fr.  Troy
