FATHER CHRISTMAS APPEARS AT THE CONCLUSION OF OLOL's PARISH ADVENT SERIES..........

Taking along with me a bottle of the, "Relative", John Power & Son Gold Label Irish Whiskey, a half gallon of Crystal Egg Nog, and Danish Butter Cookies, I conducted the fourth and final Parish Advent Series presentation tonight, as we considered how Jesus the Christ, the long awaited Messiah, is both Son of David and Son of God.  The fulffillment of the prophets, such as that made to King Ahaz, eight centuries before the Borth of Christ.  The Christmas Cheer I provided as an early present to the attendees, who have made these four Mondays a wonderful exploration of the Advent and Christmas Scriptures, as we have watched and waited together for the Messiah's Coming. The Threshold Bible Study text we used, "Advent Light", delivered on its title, with reflections on the Scripture passages by author Steven J. Binz, offering profound insights into the message of salvation.  22 parishioners were present tonight, and over the four weeks our attendance averaged 24 persons.  So, as the Advent Series concludes two dozen plus members of OLOL Parish are better ready to celebrate this Christmas, having sown the seed of God's Word into their Advent experience.........Come Lord Jesus, Come Shining Your Light of Joy, Peace, And Faith,   Fr.  Troy
