THE PENNSYLVANIA PRIMARY DAY SHOWDOWN THAT ISN'T............

Five States with a total of 231 Delegates hold Republican Presidential Primaries today.  Connecticut, Delaware, New York, Pennsylvania, and Rhode Island, voters will go to the polls today to cast ballots in a race they all but ended when former Pennsylvania U.S. Senator Rick Santorum suspended his campaign for the presidential nomination two weeks ago.  Former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney, the expected GOP nominee is expected to sweep all five primaries today, and accumulate the bulk of the delegates in those states, as he zeroes in on the 1,144 Delegates needed for the Republican Presidential Nomination.  Romney with no credible competition left for the nomination, has begun pivoting to his General Election strategy and is expected to make a cumulative primary season victory speech in an oration titled, "A Better America Begins Tonight".  Romney will be speaking from New Hampshire tonight, and former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich has scheduled a speech tonight in North Carolina, stating a victory for him in the Delaware Primary will keep him in this nominating contest to the Republican National Convention.  Meantime, although he has suspended his campaign Santorum has not yet met, or endorsed Romney; and no immediate endorsement or meeting between the candidates is scheduled.  Santorum's role at the Convention, specifically whether he will be given the opportunity to address the Convention, is seemingly developing as a bone of contention.  Romney's campaign may be wary, recalling the now infamous 1992 Convention in Houston, in which the vanquished competitor Patrick Buchanan delivered a scorched earth speech, that overshadowed the  celebration and the renomination of President George Herbert Walker Bush, becoming another nail in his re-election coffin............Fr.  Troy
