ALLEULUIA !!! ALLELUIA !!! ALLELUIA !!! JESUS CHRIST IS RISEN TODAY !!! ALLELUIA !!!!!!!!!!!!............

As I awake and begin the day on this Easter Sunday morning and Passover weekend, like Catholic Christians globally, I am praying in praise of the Living and True God of Creation for the gift of Glorious Salvation and the assurances of Faith in Everlasting Life we have gained through the Paschal Mystery of Jesus The Christ.  I am still savoring the magnificent splendor of the Easter Vigil Service Liturgy I concelebrated with Reverend Monsignor Robert P. Walton, Father Vincent Juan, Bishop Francis Anthony Quinn, and the parishioners of Sacred Heart Church, here in East Sacramento / Midtown, last night.  It was a truly beautiful and profoundly celebrated Liturgy of Light, Word, Initiation, and Eucharist, which included the Baptism of three adults and one infant; the Profession of Faith and Reception of seven other adults; and the Confirmation and First Eucharist of all ten adults, who are members of this year's Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (R.C.I.A.) at Sacred Heart under the dedicated direction of Rita Spillane and the Catechumenate Team.   Msgr. Walton delivered a superb homily on the Amazing Astonishment of Christ's Resurrection to the Jewish Women who came to the Tomb to complete His Burial rites; and of all Catholic-Christian Believers from that time forward, as we encounter the New and Risen Life of Jesus and God's Grace in our lives.  Tonight I will continue the liturgical celebration of this Easter Sunday by journeying to St. Rose's Church, to concelebrate the 7:30 p.m. Mass with Msgr. Edward J. Kavanagh, presiding over his sixty-fourth year of Easter liturgies on Franklin Boulevard in South Sacramento.  Being I am not presiding / celebrating this Easter Sunday in my parish as Pastor, Our Lady of Lourdes; then the parish of my birth and upbringing, where my priestly vocation was nurtured and developed, is the next best place to fulfill my Easter duty as a Priest of Jesus the Risen Christ in celebrating the Paschal Eucharist............A Blessed Easter and Happy Passover To You,   Fr.  Troy
