SUNDAY BULLETIN DEADLINES SHIFTED UPWARD BY HOLIDAY SEASON...........

J.S. Paluch Company, our missalette and bulletin providers, shift the Sunday Bulletin deadlines for holiday week submissions beginning with the ThanksGiving / First Sunday of Advent weekend, so that completing this coming Sunday's Christ the King bulletin copy for electronic transmittal to Paluch this afternoon, the Parish Secretary and I, must begin working straight away on the November 27, Sunday Bulletin, which is due to be transmitted no later than this Friday afternoon, November 18th.  Thus the deadline for requested bulletin announcements for a week from Sunday, is this Friday at 9 a.m.  It's what I call, Holiday-itis, as the crush of activity begins, as has been evidenced here today not only by the usual number of Feeding The Hungry and St. Vincent De Paul Ministry requests, but a growing number of ThanksGiving and Christmas assistance requests, as well.  For ThanksGiving Our Lady of Lourdes Parish is hosting its annual ThanksGiving Dinner here in the Parish Hal, this Saturday November 19th..  A part of the joy of this time of the year as full as it is, resides in the additional activities and extra events, that denote the reason the days and weeks ahead are the major holiday season in every calendar year.  For us that foremost reason is Jesus, and how we as his followers help him to make the ThanksGiving to Christmas season special for others too, especially the poor, the needy, and the less fortunate...........In Jesus Name,   Fr.  Troy
