33RD SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME : STEWARDSHIP AND HOW GOD'S CALL TAKES US TO A NEW PLACE...........

On this second to last Sunday of Liturgical Year 2011, as we ponder the wisdom and compassion of the Living and True God for us and all Creation, OLOL parishioners will gather after Sunday Mass and worship, for a preparatory workshop in readiness for the revised Mass Texts in the new Roman Missal.  Two weeks from today the English speaking world will begin using the new 3rd Edition of the Roman Missal, and our gathering today is one more way we are trying to prepare our parishioners for the change.  The workshop begins at 11:30 a.m., in the Parish Hall and will address pertinent questions and answers about the revised Mass texts, and include a dvd presentation on the New Roman Missal and our use and participation with it.  All are Welcome.  Today's Sunday Scriptures and our R.C.I.A. focus are on the Stewardship we have for the resources of the Earth and our sharing of the God given Time, Talent, and Treasure, we possess  Even in these continuing economically challenging times, especially in communities like those of OLOL, between the three defining attributes of Stewardship, the T's of Time, Talent, and Treasure, each of us can to the best of ability, be good stewards of God, the Church, and the World.  When we answer God's Call to practice the degree of Stewardship possible for us, it takes us to a new place of Faith, Fellowship, and Fidelity, to our Catholic-Christian Discipleship and the Gospel Values we profess to practice.  May this 33rd Sunday in Ordinary Time bring you and yours, and enriching, deeper,  experience of the Triune God, the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, whose Love for us is ever present and unfailing...........Seeking The Wisdom To Be Good Stewards Of God's Creation,   Fr.  Troy
