AS ADVENT PEOPLE ISAIAH THE PROPHET CHALLENGES US TO, "COME, LET US CLIMB...TO THE HOUSE OF THE GOD OF JACOB"...........

As Advent People we are challenged by the prophetic word of the Isaiah, whose voice resounds throughout this Sacred Season, to Watch with Antricipation for Christ's Coming.  On this 1st Monday of Advent our First Reading at Mass today, from Isaiah 2:1-5; affirms God's desire to come to our house, to reside with us under the roof, not only of our earthly homes, but spiritually and graciously, in the home of our hearts.  Advent's days of anticipation and for the three-fold Coming of Jesus, at Christmas, in the Escathon, and Everyday of our Discipleship, are an opportunity to take the time to draw ever closer in our relationships with God and the Grace and Love, the Divine imparts upon us.  How do we make our houses and homes more ready for the Lord's Coming, but through greater Prayer, Scripture Reading, visits to the Blessed Sacrament, and involvement in the life and ministry of our Community of Believers.  With the invitation of the Prophet Isaiah, and the light of Jesus, to guide us we will be ready to greet the Lord God, when indeed, He Comes Under Our Roofs...........Fr.  Troy
