STS. MARGARET OF SCOTLAND; AND ELIZABETH OF HUNGARY; ROLEMODELS OF HOLINESS AND GENEROSITY...........

The Liturgical Calendar yesterday and today, honors two women who served God by their outreach to  other people, especially the less fortunate.  St. Margaret of Scotland, and St. Elizabeth of Hungary, are the two heroic women of holiness the Catholic-Christian Church commemorates on November 16th and 17th, respectfully each year. Much of what these holy women's lives represented in care and concern for the poor and needy in their midst, was exemplified this afternoon at our weekly Parish Scripture Study Series, with the November issue of, "The Word Among Us", and today's featured article and meditations teaching us to lift our hearts up Eucharistically to the Lord our God, as we value and answer the call to generosity, emulating the generosity of Jesus for us in the Eucharist for us and for others.  As we enter into the approaching days of National ThanksGiving in the United States of America, may God's Word and the Christ's Body and Blood instill an increasing spirit of Generosity in you and your families, with and for one another and for others, especially those less fortunate in our midst...........Praising God From Whom All Blessings Flow,   Fr.  Troy
