THE FIRST CANDLE OF ADVENT - THE LIGHT OF ANTICIPATION...........

As we light the first purple candle of this sacred season surrounding our Advent Wreath, we acknowledge and celebrate the spirit of Anticipation, reflected in its illumination.  With the dedication of our Catholic-Christian Faith, as God's Advent People we place our hopes in the Holiness of Anticipation in Jesus The Christ, whose multiple Coming - His Holy Birth, His Second and Future Glorious Eschaton, and His Everyday Presence in our Lives; is the bedrock of who we are, as Believers in the Living and True God of All Creation, The Lord of Our Salvation.  On the night of the this First Sunday of Advent we are filled with Watchful Anticipation, in the Coming of Jesus, Who is Christ Our Light and the Light of the World.  May the Advent Light that burns in our churches and homes tonight and this week, bring you and your families a full share in the spirit of Anticipation this Advent that leads us to a daily discovery of the graces and blessings this Christmas and the future Eternity of God's Love for us will bring...........Maranatha !  Come, Lord Jesus, Come !   Fr.  Troy
