THE FIRST SUNDAY OF ADVENT BRINGS ANTICIPATION OF CHRIST'S COMING...........

"WATCH", is the password of Advent, as we begin Liturgical Year 2012, and promulgation of the new Roman Missal 3rd Edition.  As Disciples of Jesus, we Watch, in wait-filled anticipation for the historical and future Coming of the Christ; and the everyday appearance Jesus is in our lives as God's Advent People.  The Prophet Isaiah in today's First Reading of Sacred Scripture at Mass, tells us we are the Clay formed by the hands of the Potter, who is God.  Thus we are beings created and shaped by our ongoing relationship with the Divine GodHead, the Holy Trinity of Father, Son, and Spirit, who call us to lives of Holiness and Anticipation of the Advent of the Lord's Three-fold Coming.  For when we as faithful and loyal Disciples look upon the Face of God, we shall be saved.  Mark's Gospel Proclamation hearkens us to be Watchful and Alert !, in readiness for the Lord's Coming, so as to be prepared to experience its fullness at the end of time.  The four Sundays of the Advent, and each day within these weeks, allow us to do that and to make room in the homes of our hearts to embrace the historical, present, and escatholgical, Coming of Jesus Christ as our Lord, Savior, and Redeemer.  May the Advent Season be for you and for all Believers, just such an experience of God's Love...........Fr.  Troy
