SIX NEW PARISH GOALS AND PRIORITIES PLUS ONE PREPARATION TO PROVIDE IMMEDIATELY...........

As I annuniciated in the 'State of the Parish' Address at OLOL, today - Pentecost Sunday, I am calling upon all our currently 280 registered families, to commit themselves to serving in at least one parish ministry.  I proposed 3 new Parish Ministries, in addition to the 15 Parish Ministries that already exist; hopeful to tap new, younger, fresh, parishioners to carry them out.  The new vital ministries to furthering Parish Life in OLOL, being :  A Parish Liturgy Council, - to be appointed from a representative demographic group from within the boundaries of the parish, ethnically and culturally;  A Youth Ministry High School Group, - for our 9th to 12th Grade students, that is parents supported, as well as college students and parishioners committed to providing one that is sustainable;  A Helping Hands Ministry, - to assist our parishioners who are struggling with illness, disease, infirmity, disability, and are unable for their own basic and critical home needs;  all three of these new ministries are aimed at inviting twenty-fifty somethings, who are not already participating in one of our existing and necessary ministries, as part of their contribution to the community of believers, in Catholic-Christian Stewardship.  All our parishioners, from young to old, are also being welcomed to embrace and attain, the other 3 Priorities in Parish Life during the coming year proclaimed today : Each Of Our Parishioners Within Our 280 Registered Families Saying Yes, To Answering The Call To Serve In At Least One Parish Ministry This Year;  Participating In Assisting The Parish Pastoral Council, In Carrying Out Our July Through September, Welcome Home Parish Census;  Preparing For The Coming Of Our Three Year, Parish Renewal Process With RENEW International, Starting Pentecost Sunday 2012.....Meanwhile, during the remainder of 2011, A.D., OLOL's, like most pariushes universally, will be preparing our members for the implementation of the New Roman Missal, 3rd Edition, and the changes in the Mass, beginning on the 1st Sunday of Advent, November 27, 2011.  That preparation begins with our Liturgical Ministers, this Tuesday June 14th, and will include an eight Parishwide, Adult Faith Formation Series, September to November...........In God's Spirit Of Growing Forward And Developing OLOL Into A Much Stronger, More Sustainable, Vital And Viable, Parish Community,   Rev.
