PREPARING THE PARISHIONERS OF OLOL, FOR THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE NEW ROMAN MISSAL 3RD EDITION...........

Upon returning to Ordinary Time after three months of Lent and Easter, we are greeted by the Memorial of St. Anthony of Padua / Lisbon.  The holy Franciscan friar, and priest of Jesus Christ, of the twelvth and thiteenth centuries of Catholic-Christianity, who is known worldwide for helping find lost articles.  Devotion to this renowned saint is evident throughout the world, especially in parishes and churches, with a traditionally, high percentage of persons, with either Portuguese, or Italian ancestry.  As we enter back into the the largest period of Ordinary Time, during the Liturgical Year, in 2011, the next five and a half months will be much less ordinary, as OLOL, and all othr Catholic parishes and dioceses, prepare for the implementation of the 3rd Edition of the New Roman Missal, going into effect, on the 1st Sunday of Advent November 27th.  OLOL's will start by presenting three Tuesdays in June - 14, 21, 28th, to introduce it to, and train our liturgical ministers, to use it.  Then, from November 12th, to November 14th, an eight week, Monday evening, Adult Faith Formation series, for all our parishioners, to get us ready to pray, worship, and minister, on Sundays, Holydays, and Special Solemnities and Feasts, with it.  More to be share as we progress...........Peace + Prayers In, And With, Your Spirit, ...........Fr.  Troy
