ST. ALBERT THE GREAT.....BISHOP AND DOCTOR..........

Albert the Great was a learned man of letters in Cologne, Germany during the 13th Century A.D., a scholar who excelled as a scientist, philospher, and theologian, who was regaled for his outstanding genius and extraordinary knowledge, who was a Bishop of the Church, and is known as the Universal Doctor, for the magnitude of his learning in all the major areas of study in his day.  We honor him liturgically today for his magnificent contribution to our understanding of vital knowledge, at a time when all human thought and learning was critically unfolding throughout the World, and Catholic-Christianity needed to be ably and articulately included.  May the Church continue to be guided and inspired by his extensive accomplishments, and please God, many more men and women with similar capability be raised up to teach the Church and the World so profoundly..........St. Albert The Great We Thank You Through These 800 Years,   Fr.  Troy

P.S.  ..........Fr. Tony Traynor is doing well enough at the Eye Surgery Center to come home an hour earlier than scheduled.  So as I finish this blog column, I am heading over to pick him up..........
