THE LAST SUNDAY OF CHURCH YEAR 2010 : SOLEMNITY OF CHRIST THE KING..........

On this fifty second and final Sunday of Litrurgical Year 2010, we culminate this year of Grace in the Pachal Mystery of Jesus' Passion, Death, and Resurrection, by celebrating the Kingship of Christ, His supreme and universal dominion over all Creation, as the Co-Eternal, Redeeming Son of God the Father.  Since early Tuesday morning of this past week, news coverage has been full of news about the newest Royal Engagement.  That may seem trivial in the light of other worldly concerns, but the British monarchy is still one of the most significant human monarchies in the history of the world.  As today's First Reading II Samuel 5 : 1-3, shares with us David was anointed King of Israel, a human monarchy blessed and commissioned by God for the good of His Chosen People.  The Kingship of Jesus The Christ is by far as a Divine Kingship,  the greatest kingship the world has ever known.  Christ the King is the source of Peace, Justice, Unity, Compassion, Forgiveness, Salvation, and Eternal Life.  And so, as we sojourn with Christ the King as Jesus' Loyal Servants on earth, may we look forward to sharing in the Everlasting Kingdom of the Father, Son and Spirit, in heaven..........All Hail Christ The King Of Glory,   Fr.  Troy
