32ND SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME : WHAT WILL OUR RELATIONSHIPS BE LIKE IN HEAVEN ?..........

As we come to the final Sundays of the Liturgical Year, our scriptural focus at Sunday Mass turns to what things will be like at the end times of Creation.  The Gospel Proclamation today from Luke 20 : 27-38; speaks of the dichotomy between earthly human relationships and transcendent eternal relationships.  Marriages and other bonds on earth will be transformed by the glorification all beings and relationships, will undergo in God's Kingdom.  We believe that our ties of affection will remain as we share in the glorified, everlasting, presence of the Holy Trinity of God, sharing in the pure and perfect Love of the Divine, and joined to the Communion of Saints in the continuous and unending glory and praise of the Supreme Being, we will not be concerned with human institutions or conveyances, but the total awesomeness of dwelling in the Light of Eternal Life.  What does this mean for our present status as human beings living as Disciples of Jesus the Christ and striving to build up the Coming of God's Kingdom ?   Discipleship by its very definition means we have and maintain a relationship with Jesus, that is the central reality in our lives.  Spending time with Jesus the Lord, in fidelity to the Gospel Values He preached, and that we profess, by virtue of our Catholic-Christian Initiation.  Being Faithful Witnesses and Loyal Followers, in the prayers, Masses, Sacraments, and ministries, we participate in on a daily and weekly basis, is the sure sign we are wedded to being united with Christ Jesus, in the mission of Salvation, that He accomplished for us and all Believers in the Paschal Mystery of Life, Death, and Resurrection.  As we consider the, "end time", of the current Liturgical Year, and ponder the coming of the, "end times", of the Second Coming of the Glorified Christ, how are you making your life evermore closely united with the Living and True God of Life Everlasting ?..........In Glory And Praise To Our Alpha And Omega,   Fr.  Troy
