HAPPY BIRTHDAY, HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO A MOTHER / DAUGHTER DUO AND TWO FRIENDS WHO ARE TRULY FAMILY..........

As I blogged at the top of my earlier column today, November 10, in addition to being the Memorial of St. Leo the Great, Bishop and Doctor, is also the Birthdays of a truly outstanding  mother / daughter duo, I know in Sacramento, who I have been certifiably blessed to call friends, family, and fellow believers since September 8, 1979.  They are Ramona Bugatto and Teres Mugnaini.  They and their families have been mainstays of the Italian American, East Sacramento, and St. Mary's Parish Community, for several years.  When Lionel Ritchie and The Commodores sang their 1978 hit song, "Once, Twice, Three Times A Lady", that song title is but a fraction of the three times multiplied unendingly, of the kind of Ladies, Ramona and Teres are.  They are the perfect blending of constancy and tradition, while not being stodgy or indifferent to the real world.  The love and care they show for their fanily, neighbors, parishioners, friends, co-workers, and the needy, is a commendable example of authentic Christian Discipleship.  So dear Ladies, I send you all my Love and affection on this your shared mother / daughter birthday, with the assurance of my prayers, Masses, and continuing gratitude..........Love + prayer Today And EveryDay,   Troy
