33RD SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME : PENULTIMATE WEEK OF CHURCH YEAR 2010 WITH A FOCUS ON THE, "END TIMES"..........

On this 33rd Sunday of Ordinary Time, the penultimate week of the Church Year 2010, the Sunday Scriptures draw our attention to the, "end times", the Parousia, or Second Coming of Christ in Glory, when the World comes to a close as we know it.  Into some people that conjures up Fear, to other Faithful Witnesses of Jesus the Christ, it brings stronger Faith and anticipation.  If indeed, we believe that Jesus is our Redeemer, what do we have to fear, even of the end of the world, if we live by the promise and hope of Eternal Life in God's Kingdom to look forever to forever ?  From the age of the Apostles and First Disciples of Jesus, until the present day, Catholic-Christians have always believed the Second Coming would occur soon, in their lifetimes.  Yet here we are in the 3rd Millennium of Christianity, still watching and waiting for the Parousia to occur.  During the past two centuries several American psuedo prophets and charlatans, have predicted the Lord's imminent Return, down to the day and the hour, only to have those dates come and go, and no Second Coming.  As the Bible and Christ assures us only the Heavenly Father knows when the End Times will come.  Better for us to continue praying, worshipping, ministereing, and working, unti; the true time arrives, instead of stopping to only gaze into the sky watching for it to happen.  How are you preparing for the Glorious Second Coming into your Life, bringing the End of the World and the Inauguration of the Kingdom of God ?  Each one of us must be prepared to give an accounbt of our Discipleship, so perhaps these final two weeks of Liturgical Year 2010 are your opportunity to put first things first, with the Creator, Redeemer, and Sanctifier, the Holy Trinity of God who is the Supreme Being of the temporal lives we lead and the infinite lives we hope to attain..........In Jesus The Christ Our Alpha And Omega,   Fr.  Troy
