THE 15TH DAY OF CHRISTMAS BRINGS THE JANUARY BAPTISMAL INSTRUCTIONS CLASS...........

It is the 15th of our 16 days of Christmas for 2010 / 2011.  The second Saturday of our New Year, it is a day that takes on a Baptismal focus here at OLOL Parish, as the January Instructions Class for the Parents and Godparents of the infants and children six and under, who will be baptized at the 830 am Mass next Sunday January 16, has been held.  Then at tonight's 5 pm Vigil Mass, and tomorrow's 8:30 am and 10:30 am Sunday Masses, the Baptismal Font will be positioned at the foot of the church sanctuary before the Altar of Sacrifice and the Christmas Creche, as the central sign of the Feast ofd the Bapotism of the Lord, the last day of the Christmas Season.  All who are preesent at these three Masses will be asked to participate in a special procession to the Baptismal Font, to affirm their own Baptismal promises and commitment.  The rest of this day in parish life is preparatory in nature, readying the Prayers of the Faithful and the Pulpit Announcements, as well as finalizing my Sunday Homily.  May the penultimate day of this CHristmas Season be for you and yours, one connected to the spirit of the Holy Birth that is the Reason for the Season we are celebrating - Jesus, the Christ, Messiah, Savior, and Redeemer of Humankind...........Fr.  Troy
