WHAT A WONDERFUL WE-VENING.............

A truly wondrous three hours over dinner at Selland's in East Sacramento it was for me tonight with Teri and Don Currier, my friends dating back to our college student days at CSU-Sacramento, three and a half decades ago.  We talked about the transition in their lives with Don's retirement from the United States Army, as a Brigadier General and becoming a Sacramento Superior Court Judge, who after filling an interim appointment to the Bench, he was elected to a 6 year term unopposed, last year. Learning more about their daugther Melissa and son Brett,  as well as the very obvious love, commitment, and happiness, in the lives of this special couple and their family. In addition to getting up to date, we also shared stories and memories of years past !  We agreed to meet up again sometime soon after Teri and Don return from a much deserved vacation and me from the NCPD convention in November.  As they faithfully follow my blog, I close this column by saying to them once more, Thank You !  Thank You ! Thank You !, Judge and Mrs, Currier, for a refreshing multi hours Escape out of the twilight zone of being warehoused and back into the real world that represents and defines me now and please God, a far ways into the future.............tdp
