POPE FRANCIS BEGINS HIS MEETINGS WITH THE SUPER 8 CARDINALS COMMISSION.............

Proceeding with the reform and renewal of the Institutional Universal Church as the Community of Believers founded by God's Co-Eternal Son Jesus The Christ, starting at the highest echelons in the Roman Curia, as he has indicated from the inception of his Pontificate six and a half months ago, with the appointment of a Papal Commission of 8 specific Cardinals from different regions around the World, including the Archbishop of Boston in the United States - the Holy Father convened day one of their initial meetings on Tuesday.  Opening the brainstorming session of the 8 Cardinals, Pope Francis enunciated the intention to, "rip up and rewrite", the Vatican Constitution to redirect the workings and focuses of the the leadership and interactions of the Church away from centralized control in Rome and increasing decision making at the local diocesan level throughout the World.  Pope Francis underscores that he does not want a Vatican-centric Church that serves itself but a Missionary Church reaching out to all, especially the poor, the young and the elderly, as well as non-believers, and homosexuals, and the marginalized. This landmark gathering fulfilled the desire of the Pope Francis being chosen in the Conclave in March to lead the implementation of permitting greater involvement of local churches in decision making and activities of the 1,2 billion membership of the Universal Church.  As the Pope gathered with the 8 Cardinals - who in addition to Cardinal O'Malley from the United States;  are, Cardinal Francisco Javier Errazuiz Ossa, of Chile; Cardinal Oswald Gracias of Mumbai, India; Cardinal Laurent Monsengwo Pasinaya of Kinshasa, Congo; Cardinal Reinhard Marx, of Germany; Cardinal George Pell, of Australia; Cardinal Giuseppe Bertello, of Vatican City State; and the Reform Advisory Commission Coordinator, Cardinal Oscar Andris Rodriguez Maradiaga, of Honduras.............Fr.  Troy David
