TONIGHT'S BEAUTIFUL FUNERAL VIGIL SERVICE SERVICE FOR FATHER FOLMER IN SACREDHEART CHURCH.............

Reverend Father John "Jack" Folmer, a native Sacramentan who grew up in East Sacramento where he attended Sacred Heart Parish School, was an Altar server at Sacred Heart Church and swept floors at Mercy floors at Mercy General Hospital going on to Sy. Pius X Prepartory Seminary in Rio Dell, Humboldt County, then st. Joseph's College and St. Patrick's Seminary, in the Bay Area of California; being ordained a Priest of Jesus Christ for the Diocese of Sacramento on January 1, 1969; was memorialized tonight at a Funeral Prayer Vigil in Sacred Heart Church.  Seminary classmates and close personal friends of nearly half a century, Reverend Monsignor James Kidder and Father Patrick Foley, presided over tonight's service also both Sacramento diocesan priestly vocations, Father Foley like Fr, Jack, another Sacred Heart grown priest, preached tonight Msgr. Kidder will preach at the Funeral Mass tomorrow morning.  Music minister Ben Billecci provided beautiiful liturgical music tonight which further enhanced the well attended gathering of the faithful which included Bishop Emeritus Francis Anthony Quinn and Sacred Heart Pastor Msgr, Robert P/ Walton, among several other priests, religious, deacons, and laity.............fr.tdp
