QUITE THE DISCUSSION ON "DEI VERBUM" @ DADS GROUP LAST NIGHT.............

With all five members of the SacHeart Dads Group present along with Deacon canidate Paul Friedrich and myself we had a hearty discussion last night about the Dogmatic Constitution on Divine Revelation, from the Second Vatican Council.  In discussing the chapter on it from Professor Hahnenberg's book, we were able to very effectively address the questions that the Document's teaching entail for our fullest understanding of the primacy and indispensably intertwined connection between the Holy Scriptures and Sacred Tradition in the Catholic belief and respect for the primacy of God's Word in Creation and our Discipleship.  It was one of our best mutual sessions yet, and not only do I feel this way, but I am sure Tom, Ryan, Jesus, Luke, Josh, and Paul, all do too,  Next Wednesday we will delve into a discussion on the Vatican II Dogmatic Constitution on the Church, "Lumen Gentium".............fr.tdp
