SARAH PALIN VERSUS POPE FRANCIS.............

In a television interview yesterday with CNN's Jake Tapper, on "The Lead', former Alaska Governor and 2008 Republican Vice Presidential Nominee, Sarah Palin - took on Good  Pope Francis.  She described herself as, "taken aback", by some of the Supreme Pontiff's statements and said, "he's a bit liberal".  Really ?  Sarah Palin, a resigned Governor, failed Vice Presidential Nominee, and unrenewed Political pundit, dares to call the very well Educated Jesuit, productively people serving Priest and Cardinal Archbishop, and now devoutly outreaching and compassionate Vicar of Christ On Earth, +Jorge Bergoglio / Pope Francis; is imprudent enough to proclaim herself out of touch with the vast majority of the World, who are drawn to this Successor of St. Peter, for his simplicity, directness, and spirit of reform and renewal of the most inclusive and wholistic Church possible, speaks volumes.  Her bona fides for knowing or understanding the authentic pastoral responsibility and prophetic ministry of the Holy are highly questionable.  Were the Catholic Church in the contemporary World not living out the Call to Holiness and Dignity in the post conciliar, ecumenical, Vatican II, era of Catholic Christianity, she might be considered an infidel.  Terms such Apostate and Heretic come to mind in terms of how the pre Vatican Church may have described a prtson like her, who chose to leave the Catholic Church of her baptism for a Fundamentalist denomination.  The timing of her critique of Pope Francis, is also curious, given she is launching a book tour to promote and sell her new book on saving Christmas.  Could her willingness to diss the Roman Pontiff be anything but cashiering the Pope in order to stir up book sales and fill her own coffers ?   It is evident that this is an example of a lightweight versus a heavyweight.  Pope Francis and the, "Francis Effect" his Leadership and Ministry are having on the Church and the World in his first seven months on the Chair of Peter, will remain unvanquished by the self promoting agendas and criticisms of persons such as this whose craving for the spotlight knows no bounds.  I, like others billions proudly stand with Pope Francis and his authenticity as the Supreme Pontiff as we journey together further into the Sacred Truth of the 21st Century of the Salvation attained for us, by Our Lord and the Savior of Humankind, Jesus The Christ.............Father Troy David Powers
