RISEN FROM THE DEAD AND ASCENDED INTO HEAVEN............

Catholic-Christians believe that Jesus The Christ, after Rising from the Dead in the Paschal Mystery denoting the Eternal Easter in God's Kingdom; Ascended to the right hand of the Heavenly Father.  In our Faith Tradition the Ascension of the Risen Lord Jesus is thought to have occurred on the 40th Day after His Resurrection.  Whatever dimension of the biblical number forty it was, that Jesus came from time immemorial from God the Father's right hand to be born into the world, suffer, die, rise, and ascend again to His rightful place in Heaven, affirms Christianity's Belief in the magnificent splendor and completeness of the Paschal Mystery.  As we affirm our personal and communal Faith in the Passion, Death, Resurrection, and Ascension, of Jesus as the Christ of our Salvation may the Solemnity of the Ascension of the Lord on this 7th Sunday of Easter bring us ever closer to meriting a share in the Eternal Easter of God's Abundant, Everlasting, Love............Fr.  Troy
