MITT ROMNEY GOES OVER THE TOP WITH WIN IN TEXAS PRIMARY............

Former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney's six year campaign to gain the Republican Presidential Nomination was met on Tuesday with his decisive win in the 2012 Texas Primary.  Winning 69% of the votes, compared to 12% for Ron Paul;  8% for Rick Santorum; and 5% for Newt Gingrich; Romney captured more than enough of the number of Convention Delegates to reach and exceed the required 1,144 delegates necessary to win the Presidential Nomination.  Appearing in Las Vegas Tuesday night at a fundraiser with Donald Trump, overshadowed some of the triumphal nature of the evening, given the renewed focus on Trump's raising of the Birther issue regarding President Obama.  With the state of the Economy being Romney's strongest campaign issue, Trump's diversionary focus, which on Sunday caused conservative commentator George Will, on ABC News "This Week", to call Trump a, "bloviating ignorameous", and led CNN's Wolf Blitzer on Tuesday, to tell Trump in a live interview on, "The Situation Room", that he is starting to sound, "ridiculous"; is obscuring Romney's ability to maximize the effectiveness of his economic message in what is shaping up as a very close presidential election race.  The sooner Romney detaches himself from the over the top self promotion of Trump the entertainer, the greater opportunity he will be in returning his campaign to its most credible basis for electing him President............Fr.  Troy
